Tameko Rowe, Owner and Creator of Cocoa Butter Mothers

While catching up on A Sustainable Mind podcast this week, we were treated with an introduction to Tameko Rowe, corporate employee turned all-natural product creator. Her company, Cocoa Butter Mothers, offers self care products made from sustainable organic ingredients, some of which come directly from Tameko’s own yard.

As a company that strongly believes taking moments for oneself is essential to a happy life, we can totally get on board with Tameko encouraging her clients to indulge in luxurious self care, especially with responsibly-made products.

"Head Over Heals" Whipped Herbal Body Butter from Tameko's shop. Yep, we ordered a jar right after the podcast.

Tameko has a gorgeous Instagram feed, filled with product photography she shoots herself.

Some highlights from the podcast include Tameko's passionate feelings towards the unjust poisons allowed in our self care products (we absolutely agree) and the positive feeling of community she's felt since starting her company.

“The beauty of existing in this time is that humans are more connected now than ever before through the use of the internet and social media. […] There are others out here that share your interest and passion. There are other people who also share your doubts and fears—it’s not just the positive stuff. There is a community out here for everyone.
We’re all in a stage of awareness and awakening. This natural movement—it’s not new, but it’s certainly gaining speed and shifting the mindset of a lot of people.”

Like A Sustainable Mind podcast host Marjorie Alexander, we are so thankful for people like Tameko Rowe. Be sure to visit Cocoa Butter Mothers.

Hugs and bućas!
