How to Best Preserve Your Tea: DIY Tutorial
This week, dear readers, we bring you a helpful DIY tip from Evita, the steward of Ozolini farm, on the best way to store your tea.
There are two things you have to avoid to preserve your tea at its best quality: light and smells. On Ozolini, we store our tea in jars. Jars will forbid kitchen aromas so that your tea won’t start to smell (and even taste!) like your favorite dish. Also, exposed to the bright daylight, tea will lose its colors. If you have kitchen cabinets with glass doors or prefer to store your tea on your counter, I suggest to do as follows.
Step 1 – You will need a jar filled with tea, a lid, a paper bag or backing paper, a piece of rope or string and scissors.
Step 2 – Cut your bag or paper to the height of jar so that it's still easy to open and close the lid while covering the jar.
Step 3 – Tie with string or rope and write a description. Now you can enjoy a more fresh-tasting, longer-lasting tea!
Hugs and bućas!
