Ever Wonder What Latvia’s Borders Look Like?
How about the borders of Estonia, Switzerland or France? In Borderline: Frontiers of Peace, Netherlands-based photographer Valerio Vincenzo captured every border between the 26 European countries who participated in the Schengen Agreement in 1985. This contract allowed the borders between participating countries to essentially be erased, symbolizing a step towards unification through open, peaceful borders. From Vincenzo’s website:
“Even if sometimes these pictures have been taken thousands of km away from each other, they all provide images that are far from the stereotype that we tend to associate with the notion of border.
